Electrification of the Střelice–Zastávka u Brna line in 2024

Installation of a culvert, which is currently situated at its highest point at a depth of up to 8 metres on the Střelice–Tetčice section of the line.

This is a reinforced railway frame culvert with a channel weighing 10.6 tonnes and a total length of over 30 metres.

A crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 230 t was used for the installation. Hanyš – Crane Operations.

The new reinforced concrete frame culvert with an integrated channel will ensure material savings, minimal maintenance, prevention of silting, a 100-year service life and protection of the natural environment thanks to its adaptation to allow wildlife passage.

The modernisation of the line, including its double-tracking and electrification, is due to be completed in December 2024, with services resuming on 15 December 2024.
