Construction of a highly complex production hall, comprising a three-bay layout with an attached and integrated multi-storey section housing the company’s administrative and staff facilities. The structure was founded on two-stage foundation footings, comprising a lower monolithic section and an upper prefabricated section. The entire floor area of the hall is fitted with a heavy-duty industrial mezzanine floor comprising prestressed ceiling ribs and formwork for filigree slabs, subsequently monolithically cast into a single ceiling slab. The roof structure consists of roof trusses and purlins arranged in a regular modular grid. The building also includes complex circulation systems comprising stairwells and lift shafts, which, in addition to connecting the building’s different levels, also serve a bracing function.
Another part of the project involved massive retaining walls, which enabled the building to be situated on the sloping terrain at the construction site. The project was characterised not only by its large scale, but also by the highly demanding shape requirements for individual components, which were dictated by the structural design of the building and the nature of the construction. This large-scale and demanding project was a challenge for us, but it proceeded without any major difficulties, to the satisfaction of all involved.
